Consider becoming a Board Member!
Board members play key roles in maintaining organizational accountability and sustainability. Board members have the most important volunteer role of all. With it comes a legal obligation to ensure the organization remains true to its mission and protects the public trust. IFR’s Board requires a three-year commitment. Become a volunteer!
IFR has a full development calendar filled with fundraising and communications projects as well as opportunities to volunteer for one of our programs. We try to establish a good match for volunteers based on the project, your time availability and experience, and the project deadline.
To volunteer for Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. you must fill out the volunteer application, print, and return it to Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. via fax, regular mail and/or email. After your application is submitted, and your area of volunteering is approved, you will receive a phone call from the volunteer coordinator, he or she will schedule a volunteer orientation with human resources. After your orientation and background check is complete (if required) you will officially be a volunteer for Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. You will be added to our volunteer email list and be informed via email of any future volunteer opportunities.
